Current:
Rachel's research in the two year masters program in Stockholm circles around themes of mobility and territoriality. It fuses dance choreography with design by developing shared practices and working methods between choreographer, designer, and dancers.
In the fall of 2012, designer/craftsman Gian Monti (currently a student in the BI program at Konstfack) and Rachel will construct a mobile environment as the culmination of her research. The environment is intentionally designed as an ongoing project to be exhibited for audiences in galleries, museums, theaters, exhibition halls and unused urban spaces. They are interested in exploring the possibilities of the mobile room as the setting for an evening-length dance performance, an art object generated from a choreographic process, and a platform for the continued investigation of interdisciplinary arts practice. Stay tuned for updates on this project in August.
